  • Priority for Service (PFS) needs of eligible children offered, first

 

Priority for Service Student Criteria

Kindergarten through 2nd grade students meet the PFS criteria if they have their school interrupted during the previous or current school year AND one of the following: are designated as Limited English Proficiency (LEP), or have been retained, or are overage for their current grade level.

For students, in grades 3 to 12, they must have their school interrupted during the previous or current school year AND one of the following: failed one or more sections of the TAKS, or are LEP Exempt, or Admission, Review, & Dismissal (ARD) Exempt, absent or not enrolled in a TX school during the TAKS testing period for their grade level, including Ungraded (UG) or Out of School (OS) students.

The Migrant Education program is a school program. It is not connected with any employer, state or city welfare, or immigration service. All visits are confidential.
