April 25, 2025 – A dozen business and community partners were honored at Amarillo ISD’s annual Partners In Education Awards dinner.
The banquet celebrates the many businesses, organizations, and individuals in our community who spend valuable volunteer hours supporting schools and students by mentoring, professional job shadowing, providing student incentives for academic success, attendance, and effort, sponsoring major district-wide events, offering art and cultural opportunities, recognizing teachers, taking part in parent involvement programs, and more.
With more than 300 businesses and organizations involved in more than 500 partnerships in education and more than 2,500 community members, grandparents, and friends volunteering in our schools, (NAME) said it is clear education is at the forefront of community interest.
“On this night, we’re able to celebrate some incredible contributors who invest their time and talents to support our students, though those honored tonight represent just a small fraction of the thousands of supporters active in our schools. Schools are the heart of a community, and the Amarillo community has a heart for our schools,” said (NAME).
